To be appointed a Best Law Firm by Best Lawyers®, a firm must have at least one attorney recognized by Best Lawyer®.  For 2024, both Erica Blachman Hitchings and Suzanne Durrell earned this recognition.   The peer review process identifies leaders in the profession.

• Suzanne Durrell is a co-founder and managing member of the Whistleblower Law Collaborative. Prior to WLC, Ms. Durrell served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and as Deputy Chief, and then Chief of the Civil Division in the U. S. Attorney’s Office in Boston.  While there, she supervised and prosecuted cases within the office’s burgeoning qui tam and False Claims Act practice.
• Erica Blachman Hitchings joined WLC  after nearly nine years at the U.S. Department of Justice.  At DOJ, Erica successfully investigated, litigated, and settled a wide range of False Claims Act cases.  Erica simultaneously ran two cutting-edge Medicare Advantage fraud investigations. One of these cases resulted in a $90 million recovery.  In the other, the government has intervened and alleged over a billion dollars in false claims.  Since joining WLC, Erica has represented clients in numerous successful matters, including cases against BioReference and Massachusetts fuel provider Diesel Direct.

Twenty Years Serving Whistleblowers
